CVS Pharmacy has been selling a variety of erectile dysfunction medicines online from brick-and-mortar pharmacies, longtime online prescription drugstore chain association and longtime medical online community site,.
The online store has been operating for the past four years without requiring a prescription, but it is no longer offering ED drugs through the store's website. CVS is removing the offer, as part of an effort to compete with online pharmacies that sell Viagra without a prescription.
The removal of the offer comes at a time when many online pharmacies operate in theties, offering prescriptions for popular erectile dysfunction drugs like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. Many offer Viagra for sale in their names, while others sell the erectile dysfunction drugs through websites that sell Viagra without a prescription.
In addition to the offer from CVS, many of the online pharmacies offering ED drugs also offer Viagra, but there are also other popular erectile dysfunction drugs. These are including Cialis, Adcirca and Levitra, which are FDA-approved to treat erectile dysfunction in men. Viagra and Cialis are the only FDA-approved medications to treat erectile dysfunction.
The online pharmacy also sells Levitra and Cialis through its own website, www.whatall.com, but the online store has not removed the Viagra offer.
This isn't the first online pharmacy to be removed from its online shelves, though. CVS, Rite-Aid and SmithKline have gone so far as to remove their offer from their site, despite having passed some preliminary testing.
The removal of Viagra's offer is the latest effort by the online pharmaceutical giant to compete for customers. In addition to the recent Viagra-related incidents in the U. S., the online store is experiencing new and unexpected customers, and the online store's presence hasn't been as strained since the announcement of the voluntary voluntary removal.
